Killing at Juarez

This weekend another heinous event happened at Juarez. In an innocent birthday party of a 14 year old teenager, some bandits went and killed most of the teenagers attending the party and left others injured. Pregnant ladies were also killed and it was all because they were looking for one guy. I don't know how a human being can be so destructive as to kill innocent people that has never caused any harm. This were children who were barely enjoying life and now they are dead. Juarez is a really dangerous place and has no security. Many events show that innocent people are being killed even though they are not involved in a cartel or drug dealing. Juarez is being controlled by drug dealers and authority does not exist. I don't know how peace can come back to Juarez because the police and government who are the ones that suppose to protect civilians are involved in corruption. Wealth and power is the main reason for all the disasters going on. The respectable authorities are hiding themselves for the sake of their family, so there is no balance. Is unbelievable how all the deaths have become "normal" because we hear of them everyday. I really don't find a solution to the violence at Juarez. Some say that is necessary to kill all drug dealers in order for peace to rise, but we know that is almost impossible for that to happen.
Is really scary to think that we live right next to all that danger. All that violence will become a civil war which eventually will lead for other countries to get involved (US) and maybe that way it can end. All the military from Mexico being sent to Juarez seem not to work. I think the government of Mexico have not tried enough in order to put a stop to the violence.

  1. in my opinion it would be best if the gov would not try to stop them like in the past years. when the gov tried to stop them that's when everything went dong hill, more killing, rapes, and steeling everything they can. even some of the drug cartels told the gov that if they let them work, that they would stop the killings.

  2. I couldn't agree more with you, government is definitely not doing its job. There's absolutely no authority, we're under an anarchy. The other day I read in the newspaper that people were skipping red lights and disobeying the laws because they felt like there was no point in doing it. I live in Juarez and I'm starting to feel that way, like laws are only there to affect us rather than protect us.

  3. I agree too. The government needs to get involved in order for this violence to stop. Families are scared to leave their homes in fear of getting killed. People should feel safe where they live rather than fearful all the time. Innocent people are dying due to the cartels fighting for territory.

  4. In my opinion I do agree with you that the government is not doing it's job well. I don't know how this is going to end. It's also scary to know all that violence is just across the boarder and could jump quickly and also become a major problem for other countries (US) as well.

  5. its really sad that drug cartels they murdered innocent people in this case 14 teenagers died. I saw at the news that most of the half of those teenagers were involve in church activities. The government is not doing anything about it i remember too when Felipe calderon went to juarez and he promised a better life I think that in this point he should stay quiet because he is not doing anything about it and it doesn't matter if he do something because he is not going to give back those people who died to their families.

  6. It's time for something to be done about the violence in Juarez. It effects us here in El Paso, whether people believe it or not.

  7. I agree with you completely and the sad thing is that most of the cartels are forcing these kids to run "errands" for them and if something goes wrong, they still go after them and their families.
